Since 2003 Clarklewis has been the standard-bearer for the farm-to-table food movement in Portland. The philosophy has been rigorously maintained by Bruce Carey  since he took over the operation in 2007. We create delicious hand-crafted Northwest cuisine with Italian and French influences, and proudly support local, organic farms.

Our most recent visit to Clarklewis was superb. My spouse and I usually split one of each of the appetizers, salads and entrees. The sprouted cauliflower is wonderful - very innovative presentation. Our salad is often the beet salad and the chicken entree is also superb. The waitstaff is professional, attentive and knowledgeable about foods and wines. All in all, Clarklewis is a regular dining place for us - it never disappoints.

We rolled in on a Sunday night that was busier than normal for the two servers on the floor. They none the less were attentive and friendly. We ordered and a well timed meal m, that unfolded just when it should. The smells of the kitchen and the friendliness of staff made you feel more at home that a night out. The dishes we ordered were fantastic, to me a well balanced sampling of the menu. If you're on the fence about coming to eat here don't be. Give them a chance to prove how good their food is.
